1997 LX 450, Locked, 161k, $6900 or make offer.
For Sale:
1997 LX 450 $6250.00
Details:
Condition:
The exterior of the car is in very good condition with just a few minor scrapes. The bottom corner of the rear bumper has a scrape. The towing hitch has some topical rust. However, the underside of the car has remarkably little in the way of rust.
The interior is in very good condition as well with a few marks/scrapes in the leather. The D/S front seat has some wear on it. The interior plastic trim has a few scratches in it but other than that this car is great cosmetic condition.
Mechanically, this car is sound. It has proven to be very dependable for me as it has served as my DD for the last 3.5 years. Always starts on the first try. Everything works as it should, the lockers engaged right away the last time I tried them.
What's wrong:
Not much but there are a few things a prospective buyer should be aware of.
Slight oil leak. This is visible from the underside of the car, but it has never leaked enough to leave a drop mark on the ground in the 3.5 years I've had the car.
Check Engine Light. It popped a 401 or 402 code, but to be honest I can't remember which one. As you Mudders know it's a common but minor problem.
The back light behind "Tape" and "CD" on the radio does not come on when the head lights are turned on.
It needs new front tires. The rear tires are at about 50%.
Repairs/Maintenance:
The A/C was repaired last fall with parts from CDan. Compressor, etc.
15k on new front rotors and 100 series brake pads.
10k on new DS rear rotor and both sets of rear brake pads.
Mobil 1 Motor Oil and Toyota Filters(just changed).
3x through on the Mobil 1 synthetic transmission fluid exchange.
Reason for selling:
This has been a terrific Rig for me since I bought it. The late production date and it's tremendous dependability gives me the impression that this was indeed one of the last and best off of the production line. However, my job has morphed into more delivery/carrier responsibilities which creates the need for a more economical vehicle. Our present situation doesn't allow for a 3rd car so the Big Rig has to go.
Unfortunately the weather here has been lousy so I haven't had the chance to get pictures. I'll post pictures when I get them.
If someone wants a dependable LX 450 in great condition at a terrific price, this is the one for you. If you have any questions, I can be reached at 484-571-2215 or via PM.
