Good morning everyone. I am trying to make a custom pto drive shaft and wondering what the oem PTO driveshaft diameter. thank you.

I'm interested to see where this goes too - I have the takeoff but not the shaft.

I see there are standards for agricultural PTOs (even small ones), is it possible that it's one of those, or is this just toyota specific?

Just go 3/4 solid rod and truck steering shaft joints

Why solid shaft? Search the winching recovery section use key PTO. A long of information in that section.

Mine is 1" diameter.

Thank you everyone. I settled on 1” diameter solid steel rod. That should be strong enough I think. Just needs to be stronger than the shear pin is supposed to be right?

because that is the easiest and cheapest option, the uni joints are already 3/4 hole from memory so all you have to do is cut the rod to length and machine in a keyway to the solid shaft
