Winch cable flex step (1 Viewer)

I just got done with a fun project for my FJ40. I made up a 9 strand cable step support out of some old winch cable. I had the fiberglass grading and the aluminum diamond plate so no cost to the project. The top of the step is at 13" below the nerf bar.

Should have connected those lines to a winch in the center of the truck so yo can raise and lower it

How did you connect the cable? Weld the ends?

Yes stitched welded / hop scotch between the cables then criss crossed welded to fill in the bottom of the square tubing.

That would also work well for "no room inside ride-alongs". Lots of fun on Mcgrew!
