which grease to use on cam seals? (1 Viewer)

is redline assembly lube safe on the rubber cam seals or should i use silicone grease? following OTRAMM's (engine-out) video, he calls for "assembly grease" but i'm not sure exactly what he's referring to.

I wouldn't think it would make a huge difference. I believe either would work. The key is just for the seal to have some kind of lubrication at first startup until the oil reaches the seal. I would use a little bit of oil around the outside of the seal to help it go in a little easier. That's the process I've always followed whether it was on a land cruiser or any other engine I was working on.
