What is this magic box? (1 Viewer)

Can anyone ID this thing? It's on the driver's side foot well. I am trying to track down and eliminate all non essential OEM wiring after a PO did the Chevy enfine swap.

Believe that is the Emissions Control Computer... should have a greenish sticker on it that says something like that.

Is there a separate emission computer on FJ62 with EFI?

Might be engine bay cooling fan control box & relay.

Well, in that spot on a FJ60 normally sits the Emissions Computer, but since I do not see a clutch pedal you've either got a 62 or a conversion of some sort, so the box most likely is magic. Or most likely, IDK

1988 FJ62, new picture and the magic explained. Cooling fan for the what? No carb on mine and since a PO did a chevy engine conversion I can't tell if the stocker had an elecrtic radiator fan. Magic indeed!

FJ62 has a manifold fan, just like the 60. If the fan is no longer operational or needed, please sell it in the classifieds. Someone will want it. Don't toss it in the trash.

Shoulda kept the after run engine bay cooling fan. It helps for longevity of brake MC, and makes hot restarts a little better.
