My first step to over landing... But really just at a close campground. First time sleeping in a vehicle. Have the ADGU SS1 with sleeper platform, an Exped Megamat XL, window screens, Jackery 1000 powering an Iceco JP42 and phones.

First night was a little rough. It was way too hot out for me, but would have been the same in a tent. I hit my legs on the sides and feet on the Tailgate.

I have had good luck with one of these rechargeable fans clipped to the grab handle in front of a screened window when sleeping in the car.

Also, tailgate open with some mosquito netting over the opening helps a lot.

Changed oil, mounted switch panel, mounted hi lift, built drawer / fridge mount and washed it! Ready to head out to Moab and Ouray this weekend!

@bemerritt I did relocate the camera with the provided bracket from @benc. It puts it in the center of the lower section. I don't think it blocks the view, but I am not sure....lol I'll check it out later when I get back home. I could go a little higher with the high lift if needed though.

Awesome, curious how it is. Ben relocated my camera when he installed the bumper and I am planning on mounting my lift like that, so interested in the rear view.

Went full EXPO on the RTT this week. I learned the VisionX lights are crap (got these on sale last year and decided to mount) and the Baja S1 is very bright for scene lighting. I toned them down with some amber headlight vinyl and they are great now.

The child ejector seat is a nice touch. Was it a difficult install?

Ha...easy as putting on a sticker. The switch-pros install on the other hand took some planning.

Added some last minute insurance before leaving to meet LCDC. These are beefy. I will be getting some more stuff from Bud in the future.

Nice truck! Question on the Alu-Cab tilt slide install... What is your drawer construction and what hardware did you use to fasten? Considering the same on top of my drawers, but in my mind I'm worried about the levered force damaging and ultimately pulling through the drawer top. Just wide washers on the underside to distribute load?

Thanks!

My drawer is constructed of all wood. Top piece is 3/4" thick plywood. Sides are 2x12" And the bottom is 3 - 3/4" wood pieces that cross sideways. For the mounting points where the 3rd row seat would typically latch. I used these 6 nuts and 1/4" bolts to mount the alucab to the drawer. It's plenty strong enough for the tint slide! This is my 3rd or 4th go at making drawer(s) and you learn something every time. The slides are down heavy duty slides I got off Amazon.

Beefy! I have those same style nuts I plan on using for my L-track. I thought it curious that Alu-Cab specifies typical nylon nuts and washers for their slide install and not the same nuts you show there. I didn't realize that you created your own tilt and looks like you used an Alu-cab tray? Good work.

The tilt / tray slide is all 1 piece from Alucab. I wish I could make my own, save me $400 or so. 😏

I drained and filled the cooling system on my 2008 LC. It has 103k miles on it. I drained about 3-1/4 gallons from the radiator and two block drains. Used Toyota SLLC to refill. I could only get about 2.8gal back into it on the first fill, so hopefully as it cools, I can add the other 1/2 gallon. The old fluid looked fine.
