Have you thought of using battery self contained lights? I use a LED light made by Ridgid ( Home Depot elec drill battery ).
It has a hook on it, I had it hanging in my RTT to read, moved it to hang about the camp where ever I needed it. There are
long rechargeable work lights you could tie warp or tape where you wanted them. That way you have a dual purpose light.
Any of these lights are fairly weather proof, as well.
