I noticed some pressure in my fuel tank recently. Whenever I open the fuel cap, there's some hissing sound for about 2 to 3 seconds. Nothing seems serious - no gas in the face, no odor either. I drive the LC mostly in the Denver area, about 5500 feet, and it's been cold lately. Is that normal or is it a sign of something going wrong (charcoal canister or vapor line)?

Also it seemed to begin after I replaced the fuel filter but I'm not sure.

Very dangerous and could cause immediate combustion. :)

Seriously, no big deal. It is more prevalent when you run your tank too low. It's just pressure being released.

the cap better holds pressure or you may not pass smog tests in some places.
Some say that the pressure does indicate a problem with the charcoal canister system, however.
Several trucks I've seen do have the extra pressure though.

Had the same issue.....changed charcoal canister and no more problem
