Howdy y'all,

I wanted to drop in and let you all know that there are some changes coming with regards to the Razorback Land Cruisers and our membership.

I've been in touch with the current Pres, VP and Treasurer and even though I'm not an elected office holder they've agreed to let me jump in and shake things up a little. So I'm hereby appointing myself Official Membership Wrangler of the RLC. :hillbilly:

I'll be providing more specific information as everything gets lined up, but for now I'll say that dues will be going down, there will be some new schwag, and the on-line membership page will soon be available again for easy join-ification.

If you're considering joining or renewing RLC please sit tight. I've got things rolling and will have more news posted in the near future.

In the meantime if you have any questions please fee free to post here, PM me, or e-mail me (click).

Now back to your regularly scheduled programming.

Thanks for steppin' up Dave! I appreciate your efforts!! I'm looking forward to some wheelin/campin some time soon. I know a couple of spots that might be interesting.....

now us poor college kids can join without having to take out another student loan? (not that it was that expensive... but pinching pennys is my job :flipoff2:)

Nice! I like the idea of having a Membership Chairman. I'm always unsure whether I'm paid up or my dues are expired.
So, I'm guessing the first order of business is gonna' be a membership drive. I figure that's like college football recruiting at Fayett'vegas, where they wine you, dine you, and then you get an "escort service" to a special event :hmm: . . . yea, like you said, I'm gonna' sit tight 'til I get my invite.

:clap::beer:

Thanks Dave. Hope we can all get together at the cruiser crawl and hash some things out

Truly a great idea...

Since sidelining myself from the club a few years back, I often get a twinge to get back into cruising. I drive the 80 every day, but my 1976 FJ40 languishes with a rough running carb after the rebuild (the carb, not the rig!). The 68 V8J40 need an engine rebuild. Maybe, just maybe, I can squeeze some time and a few $$$ to get them back where they need to be.

Meanwhile, good job on the membership drive. I 'spect I'm back in for that much at least.

Hope to see you "old-timers" again soon, plus meet you new guys out there somewhere.

I want to join...live in Fairfield Bay. We have a 100 series and an FJ40 coming any day now!

No News is . . . . uh, no news?

Sing it with me y'all: "Aaaan-tiss-a-pay-yay-shuuuun! :grinpimp:

No fear folks, I'm a workin' on it!

I'm glad you guys are ready!

I will have the membership page posted by the end of October. That should give ample time to publicize, push, get everyone joined up again and pull in some new members through the beginning of '11. Then in the early spring we'll start pulling together slates for an election per the bylaws.

No reason we should wait that long for a meeting or a trail run, though. Let's get together some time soon. I saw some of you at SCC, but didn't get to talk with but a few for just a little bit.

There are two "Fall plans" threads going already. Dig one up and let's get rolling!

Do we have a current membership list? I'd like to see it. I guess I'm current, I paid my registration at Ramble '10 ? Gary, maybe you can provide this for those of us that are interested. And where can we find the bylaws?

As far as a fall get together, I would think a "day run" with maybe a "camp over" for those that will pull rigs. Say something that's close to central Ark. . . Russellville ? ? ? I'm guessing we have members from all 4 points. If we knew where the membership was located, it would be easier to plan meetings. We should have tried to get together at SCC (hindsite is 20/20).

Honestly, although it's always fun to ride trails, there's no way we can talk as a group about club stuff if we don't "have a club meeting with some club members".

My suggestion is to throw a date on the page. There will never be a date that's right for everybody, so . . . fall's slipping past pretty quick, who's doing what on the weekend of Nov. 6th or 13th? or Dec. 4th? just to name a couple weekends

comments ?
