Real-time help ignition switch removal (1 Viewer)

OK everyone real-time help how do I get these bolts out? Drill? If I drill how do I replace them? Trying to replace my ignition switch bracket electronic switch

Cut a channel with a dremel and use a large flat blade? Tack weld a bolt to the head and then use a wrench. Use the dremel to cut the bolt shaft in the gap between the two parts. All guesses but I've never done the job.

I'm thinking of leaving the current bracket and just replacing the inside cylinder

Thanks that's the info I was looking for. But yes I fixed it by just swapping the rod into the old assembly bracket. Unfortunately Toyota doesn't just sell the rod you have to buy the whole assembly bracket

Yep, I also bought the whole assembly, but only used the rod. The rods are now popping up on eBay:

Coming from Turkey, they're of no use to anyone who needs it fixed now, but I'll be getting one as a spare.
