A few weeks ago I had a check engine light come on. It was the P0500 "A" & "B". I replaced both the VSS and the light went off before I had a chance to reset it with my code reader. About a week later, it came back on. This time it was just the VSS malfunction. I reset it, drive it another 500 or so miles and coming off a 4wd road, it popped back on. Same malfunction code.

I've looked at the FSM and see the troubleshooting process to go through.

However:
My LC has the factory nav, and the PO had it modified to allow the DVDs to play while in motion. Could that be related in any way? It also has an iPod interface as well as a XM radio set up through the factory system.

Anyhow, before the troubleshooting process when I get some time (this is just an extra camp/fun rig) is there anything I should consider looking at?

Thinking it may be a short somewhere, it came on again last night when I went over a bumpy section of road while making a left hand turn. Stuff like this drives me crazy.
