I have an 85 fj 60 with a 2f engine from a 75 fj 40. Runs well, but recently changed valve cover gasket, oil pan gasket, and side crank case gasket. Now the oil pressure gage reads low. I put a oil pressure tester on it. ran at 10lbs at idle and went up 10 lbs every 1000 rpm. so i think i am ok on real readings with a good gage. I replaced the sending unit and it is still reading low.

Should i ground the unit on the other clip? how can i test the dash gage?

thanks

Rich

if you ground the wire to the base of the oil sender, you WILL destroy the gauge.
do not do that.

thanks. any thought on why my gage is reading low versus the video? new sending unit?
