Nitro chromoly birfield - Any issues? (1 Viewer)

Thinking on buying Nitros's birfields - the chromoly kit. Any known issues?

I see threads with clicking after rebuilds but nothing relates to the Nitro units. But this got me thinking and I would like to hear real world impressions.

I have them. No complaints. Made in USA by RCV I assume.

Less than 1,000km on them currently so no long term impressions.

I know of a guy in Utah who likes them for DD trucks. I am also curious about their longevity vs strength as compared to OEM and Chromoly.

Their site description seems to indicate they won't last as long as OEM, but are stronger, and will last longer than the normal offroad Chromo units.

Thanks gents, had a seal let go and haven't taken it apart yet to find the culprit. I did the knuckles 30k miles ago and can't remember if the shafts were worn. If so the cost of just the shafts doesn't warrant purchasing just those.

I did find the stock toyota birf assemblies for under 300 US each online and for a few hun more you can get the hardened nitro units.

Installed them on my DD last summer. No issues for the 20k miles now.

I have about 14k on a set of the non-chromoly Nitro birfs. Stock tires, daily driver. No issues so far, but I don't abuse them offroad either.

I have around 5k miles on the nitro non-chromoly with 33s and plenty of wheeling. No issues yet.
