Been around FJ40s a long time....20 years I guess.

I know nothing about the FJ55s.

I just bought a 77 PIG and was wondering what parts are the same for the pig as are in the 40???

I know engine, tranny, and tfer case are the same...and I know body parts are different obviously.

What about frame, suspension, axles, brakes, etc?

Frame is different.

Suspension is different. Longer springs.

I think the axles are gonna be the same as a same year 40, front brakes also, and probably the rear brakes too...

Axles are slightly different externally, I think. Rear brakes are different.
