So yep as title sugests hj47 4 door project, plan to make it all original first up so I don't get put off road if a copper goes by and then later on add upgrades
She's registered so this pic is of the day I went and picked her up and took her home from dongra West Aus

Found a leak, so stopped in old mans about 110kms out and this was a few snapshots of where we went to take it for a spin after we sort of fixed the leak

This is from half way home about 400kms.. Still had another 300 to go.

Other than that she's home now. More pics to come and some underneath pictures of the truck

Nice arkana! Have one on its way to California! Did it come from Western Australia? Perth? They were built in the area. Did some research and found out it was a 30k conversion back in the day! Cheers, mate, and of course more pics!

Nice looking forward to some updates.
Coming shortly after I do some work on it tonight

Thanks mate, lucky you found one and are shipping it over. Few spotted here this year so if anyone needs one I can let them know. Reckon there will be a few next year.
Got mine from dongra north of Perth was used as a beach truck surprisingly in good nick. Don't think it was 30k conversion as they were built for purpose and to carry passengers so they're all done cheaply and back in 1982 30k is a lot of money

Sounds high to me too, but read it in an old overlander magazine( have every issue) from 77 to 85! They had a 25 year special on landcruisers and a couple pages talking about Arkanas and how they were built for the mines? When I get time, I want to get that article on here, it's very interesting and has a few 4 door pics!

Yeah built for mines. They only held purpose to working back then, that's why you see so many are stuffed and rusted out, I doubt they would spend that much on something only taking workers a few hundred kms away!
Yes please do get that magazine on here!

Nice rig mate

some cosmetic, previous owner photos at the PO's house.. had some family go take a look as i was too far away and they took these pics:

bloody people trying to put sunroofs in...

some photoshoot shots i took while we were out giving it a test run, and a 75 wreck we tried to get parts from for the 2h, only ended up getting the clutch fan as mine is stuffed.

when i got to old mans place, decided to take a look at the leak, we thought it was the centrifugal oil filter but no.. was a leak on the front of the engine(still yet to fix) resulting it getting on pulleys and then on the fan and as you know when sh*t oil hits the fan... well goes everywhere...
none the less, used degreaser got real in there, put some hose clamps on some hoses to get a tight vaccum and cleaned it up...

SHES HOME, pic taken from super pit lookout at kalgoorlie. was a very good trip and absolutely loved it,lots of looks and waves too.. went on the back roads incase i got pulled up by the 5-0 had 3 jerrys of diesel, 6 ltrs of 15w40 oil( which i used 4ltrs of just topping it up) and a 20l container of water, cant wait for the fun to begin :)

some EXTRA pictures that are lurking about that i took (not sure whe i think before i got home)

Bit of an update. Brakes were terrible since I got it, opened up all the drums except this one and bam. Backing plate seal stuffed, found out some more seals either glued or not there so rebuild time for the rear,

700km on those brakes! PO!

And more dodgey stuff yet to come.. Found out the backing plate seals aren't part of a wheel bearing kit so got the metal plate and seal 2 for 36 on onlineautoparts instead of repcos 30 each!
The seal in question
