Well Thursday was supposed to be an easy day of rebuilding my 4speed TCase which was pretty much seized. After cleaning the case and the front extension housing thoroughly, I found a crack across one of the ears of the ext housing 
The PO also had sheared a bolt off in the speedo housing, so the brake backing plate was held on with 3 only. Double There was also duct tape inside one of the tcase to tranny bolt holes (and the bolt was completely loose with an o-Ring in front of the bolt washer. Triple
I'm going to go out on a limb and say this extension housing is long gone? The PO had obviously JB welded the outside crack, but I never noticed due to the seal failures and subsequent oily dirty mess...
Anyways, does anybody have an extension housing and speedo housing that they are willing to part with?
