Grommet install on Trollhole PVC top (1 Viewer)

like the title says, I've got the grommet kit in hand for securing the sides on my Trollhole top. Any members have any tips or suggested tools for this project? Obviously I only want to cut the hole in the fabric once, so I want to make sure my method is correct. It looks simple, at least once I get the hole punched.

I plan to rig up magnets using the hardtop bolt holes + some sort of bracket...

Don't know the fabric used on your top, but I helped a friend with his Trollhole top. The fabric on his was a vinyl over fabric. What we did was figure where the grommets go and went ahead and installed the grommets without cutting a hole. After they were secure we heated up an old screwdriver with a propane torch and just reamed out around the inside of the grommet . This left a nice clean hole and because it was vinyl material, the heat made a nice seal around the hole.
