    Chains are Great

I have been using them for years in the snow and they are the best. I just hate when you SPDs become full of snow.

If you're having problems with your pedals, try time ATAC pedals. They are impervious to mud and snow, maybe ice too.

sounds good, i'm thinking of getting a few buddies together and heading down south at the end of march to hit cucamonga big tree 4x4 trail, if you're interested i'll shoot you and e-mail on the days. i'd like to see your v8 vortec in action. damn that sounds nasty !! talk to you soon.
