Read article saying Toyota has been working on a Toyota Diesel engine that was put on hold due to economy falling in 2008...but are planning on using a Cummins 5.0L Turbo Diesel in the 2016 Tundra...as they continue with the Toyota diesel in future releases.

Wonder if that means a diesel FJ or UZJ?

I might have to get rid of the UZJ then and buy one...put canvas top on rear with roll up sides...a lift and some tires. :)

That would be great. I can't believe no one has come out with a diesel in a light duty truck. Now the eco boost V6 in the F-150 is a mother and gets great gas mileage. Ive been thinking of getting of a new truck or 200 series, but I may have to hold out now to see where this goes.

This is great news! I love my 7.3L F350. Plenty of power and good gas mileage for all the capability. It's just too dang big, so I'll be looking to trade it for a newer TLC pretty soon. Would love to keep a diesel in the family!
