Cause Deer Valley is the only place in the Sierras that the frogs breed.

So if they close the trail until July 31 won't that just concentrate the usage into a shorter time span? How could that turn out bad...............

More of the same ole crap the greenys come up with. The Forest Service or Wildlife people are now shooting a more successful Owl Species in the Northwest because it is competing with the Spotted owl. Apparently it takes over their nests. So get out the 12 gauge Uncle Sam cause the greenys want their "Spotted owl" protected. So now I suspect to protect the frog they will start killing predatory fish and Herons and anything else in nature that eats frogs. And close some roads just cause we think that maybe it just might someday be a problem for our frog even though studies have proven otherwise. BS

Someone on pirate made the point that deer valley is NOT even part of the "critical habitat". Additionally, this is an entirely SEPARATE issue from the standing closure.
This was eluded to when they did the analysis of the area... One of the greenies that were there had noticed there were a couple frogs that had died around the creek.
I contacted Larry (NV4WD) about this matter and he seems to think that this WONT be an issue?
