I was looking into ways to strengthen my A442f, and knew about the Wholesale Automatic Nomad valve body. And then I saw something else that has application for the solenoid controlled 92 or later A442f's.
The compushift is plug and play. My interest is in torque converter lockup control. Forsythe early solenoid models, a throttle position sensor is required but can be bought with the kit. Looks like it costs about 1500 for components, but appears relatively easy to install. Price is around the same for the Nomad, iirc.
The other thing mentioned by Rob is the ease for trans swaps.
Anyone using this already?
My main question is if this a one or the other decision between the compushift amd the valve body, or if they work together beautifully.
And digging on the website, I see that converting to the A750 is an option, custom console and all. I recall from years back, that the a750 robbed less power than that A442f. That's like gaining hp at the ground if so.
