I got the lower fenders made. They're nothing fancy but should help keep the tires from flinging up to much debris.

I got a lot done on the trailer this weekend. I decided to take a few steps back and rebuild the tailgate. I went with a single stainless steel lockable center latch. I also got in the rear stabilizer jacks and got them mounted. I added interior mounts for them when traveling and a mount at the front of the trailer for the front jack.

After rocking around in my trailer with just a stabilizer jack, I finally went and bought three of the Pro Series jacks and now have a trailer that is very stable when I move around in it. I have the added bonus of being able to change the tire on the trailer without having to break out the Hi-lift. I made the extra male nipples for storage with spare 1 1/2" galvanized pipe that I cleaned the galvanizing off before I welded them.

I like the stabilizer jacks and mounts, need to change mine to that style from the manual "pinned" ones. Mine just gets a little too heavy to lift off the hitch sometimes and my back does not like it. And using them to jack up the trailer to change a tire is a great bonus feature.

I'm hoping to match the champaign color of my LX450. I'm also looking into adding a wrap to parts of it after it gets color.

It’s been a slow week on the build. I ended up having to replace the transmission in my LX450. Luckily that’s the sort of thing I do for a living so I was able to do it for a reasonable price. Other than that, I’ve just been working on small stuff trying to get the trailer ready for powder coat. I’m sure I will, but I’m trying not to rush it to much, and make sure all the little thing I want to get done, get done. These are the tailgate cable I made, they are 3/16 vinyl coated so they are smooth to the touch.

Also got the prop rod done. This is just a secondary precaution in case a high wind comes or a strut begins to fail.

I'll be running two of these dual light LED assemblies on the lid.

I got the RTT on last night to check how the struts do fully loaded. They work great, I'm really happy. I'm planning to head to powder coat this coming week.

Any plans for the cavity between the fenders and that flat plate on top of them? It looks like a good spot for some kind of exterior box storage, as the way it sits now make it look very "unstreamlined", a big wind catcher really.

I've been debating whether or not to put the jerry cans right in front of the fenders. The only hesitation is the jerry cans are just a little larger than that area.

I got the jerry can holder built last night. I leaning towards mounting it in front of the left side fener. Also had the idea of putting it at the front of the basket like in the picture. What do you guys think?
