Hey ya'll,
I recently have had some trouble with my cruiser, first of all its a 1982 Bj60 3.4L, and usually the voltmeter shows around 14V when i drive, but a couple days ago it only showed 12. I tried trickle charging both the batteries, but it was still showing 12V, my glow plugs wouldn't hit, and eventually the car wouldn't turn over. At this point I'm thinking its the alternator. My question is, I know that they have a vacuum pump, and i know that it is fed oil from the engine. When i remove the alternator is a whole bunch of oil going to come out?
Thanks!

Out of hoses to alt, yep.

Won't drain engine or anything but can be a bit messy if you're not careful.
it's not too bad , but alt will make a mess when you set it down.

We're talking a cup or two of oil, if that , but being a 3b, it'll probably be on the darker side....as in, jet freaking black...
