Hey everyone, Ive been looking all around for some information on where this oil leak im dealing with could possibly be from and cant find anything so im turning to you all for some help. Recently my 1994 81 series with a 1hdt has started to develop a oil leak and it appears to be spitting oil onto the hot side of the turbo/ down pipe from the turbo. Ive looked all around that side of the engine and cant seem to find where it is leaking from. My question to you is could it be a blown turbo? or is this a bigger issue and possibly the engine or something that I am completely missing? Thanks in advance for your help on this, Im at a complete loss as to what it could be from.

Good chance its the hard steel pipe oil feed/oil return.
They are known to crack at the flange on the bottom side of the turbo housing.
Don't keep driving it, this can puke oil as its a pressurised feed.
Mine cracked and dumped a shìtload of oil fast.
Replace it with the pipe from a newer hd-ft.
Pretty sure the earlier part will have been superseded in Toyota's inventory anyway. Newer version has a different shape pipe and a brace on the pipes, but still be a direct bolt on fit
