Holy crap, I’ve spent way too much time reading this thread! The Mule 2.0 is going to be outstanding to say the least!

I think Canaan Loop Rd. would be a great shakedown run once finished. You know, add a few Rhododendron pin stripes down that beautiful brown paint! 🫣 :slap:

;)

I haven’t even driven my 40 since this thread got to paint choice. I almost look at mine in disgust now.
Outstanding is almost an understatement.

Too kind…I take no credit for anything.

I think darker Brown is the earth tone that “could have been” in the YOTA catalog. The pewter is really going to do it justice. Headed north soonly to start the Cygnus-esque discussion. The shop is spraying out a few choices based on the current best guess. IMHO it’s the make or break decision.

The stern in regalia….

Nice shot of the port n starboard rad support. Rad support finally getting some justice after being neglected by the “painter who didn’t paint” circa 1.0 “those Jeep parts”?

Busy day yesterday. I’m just catching up this AM.

The “pewter” is pulling the dash together.

Teqtach.com owned by a MUD member. Has a very nice kit to adapt an autometer gauge. Decal for the Tach face comes in 4k-5k and 6k flavors. The gauge starts life as a pedestal mount, but converts. Product #2890.

Upfront apologies for the bombardment…Busy day yesterday in “Wooster”. The young Jedi aka Alex, is in hyperdrive…

@Chungas Revenge just noting the obvious but you have an excellent painter. The 1955-57 Ford Thunderbird catalogs have a nice red needle paint but clearly most hot reds will work.

PS: thank you for the link to the tach…..just cost me $321…had to get one for each, they get jealous if I take batter care of one of them than the other

@Green Bean could not have said it better… just enjoy it

Jdc1 will be in even higher demand after this build. This is shaping up to be a “ we might need a bigger shop” build.
Outstanding workmanship. The guys doing the work are top shelf.
My grandpa would say “ those boys put on a shine with both hands”

Curious: did they apply a clear coat over the pewter? If so, gloss, semi, or satin?
Base/clear..I’m not 100% certain which flavor clear. By the looks of it, there may be a wet sanding/buff in the mix too..

“Might be a wet sanding/buff”
There has been more than one I’d say. You can read signage in the paint from across the shop for Pete’s sake.
An interesting fact would be how many hours are in the paint job alone?
This may be something you might rather not share and I do understand if you don’t.

The black paint with black bedliner accents brings a tear to my eye. Very well done.

Thanks. Guys in the booth did an amazing job. Paint is actually Brown.
