60 Frame/62 Frame Are they the same? (1 Viewer)

Hi
Today I found a 62 frame in good condition. Except for engine mounts can I use it to replace my 60 frame?

Yep, same frame. You'll have to move the trans. crossmember mounts forward, but that should be it. Not sure about motor mounts.

Thanks. If I can get it for a good price I'll get it sandblasted and coated.

If the frames are the same then does that mean that the FJ-62 frame has the holes for the FJ-60 crossmember already?

No they are brackets welded to frame. Either grind off and relocate or make new ones.

Something in the rear crossmember is different - not sure exactly. I don't think a 60 rear bumper will fit on a 62.
