I also posted this in the Clubhouse Corner and CA Pacific Mountain Cruisers boards, but thought I'd try another to spread the word. If any of you know of additional and/or a more appropriate place to post this, please let me know.

My FJ60 was STOLEN last night in San Francisco from the SF General Hospital (located at 1001 Potrero Ave # 107) parking lot sometime last night (likely early in the morning on November 2, 2007).

Here are the details:

License number 4TOA926. VIN JT3FJ60G4H1139016

Description: 1987 FJ60 wagon; white; ARB black bull bar; no roof rack; police-style spot-light on the driver side; sliding side cargo area windows; Old Man Emu suspension (i.e., sits a little higher than a typical FJ60); sunroof; larger tires with American Racing offset all black wheels; tan and brown interior; aftermarket stereo; light-tinted windows (all except front two and windshield)

Picture is attached (complete with Holiday wreath that is, of course, not a permanent fixture ; ).

Please keep an eye out and let me know if you see/hear anything either by posting to this thread or by emailing me at curtis_kroeker@hotmail.com. Anything that anyone can do to spread the word is, of course, very much appreciated!

Thanks, ckcruiser

I commute between Vacaville and Martinez. Will certainly keep an eye out, they are easy to spot....sorry about your loss.

dmede808 and FJ60Croozer...thanks for your offer of help and the condolences! Let's catch the thiefs!

Watch for parts showing up in Craig's List or ebay... If it's not some joy-riddin' stupid $hits who took it. I'll keep an eye open down here in L.A.

Post some more pix, if you have 'em, of things, (dents, interior rips, etc.) particular to the truck.

We'll get those BASTARDS! And when we do.... BONFIRE!

not to be too obvious: but you've filed a report, right?

you might also post to craigslist.

maybe send out an email directly to bay area cruiser vendors... most of them are on Mud, but clearly all of them spot cruisers all the time.

We had our 60 stolen years ago, got it back (thank goodness), but in rough shape and after many tears.

Best of luck!

Thanks for the continued well-wishes. Means a lot to me. I have filed a police report and reported it to my insurance. Good call with the Cruiser vendors! I'll see what I can do. I will also post to Craigslist. Spike Strip...I like your attitude! I'll see what other pics I can dig up (though I think with the couple I've posted, I'm at my max ih8mud server capacity). Thanks for keeping an eye out down in LA!

Big time bad news............very sorry

If they make a run for the Mexican boarder..... Will keep eyes out down here in San Diego

Eyes open in Alameda

Good luck

I love the geographic coverage! Thanks for the vigilance! That thief isn't safe anywhere!

I'll be in the south bay area (San Jose - Milpitas) Wednesday and Thursday.

I'll be watching. Like all other Cruiserheads, I'm always on the look-out for a good looking Cruiser!

Sorry for your loss and may you have an hour with the thieves before the cops show up.

i am in the Richmond district and work downtown, i will keep an eye out. i hope you get it back. some older cars go straight to a chop shop than your parts a shipped out overseas in a week. Happened to my 1985 Supra a few years back
good luck

I'm way out on the CA/AZ border, but if they choose I-40, I'm on it.

Los Angeles, Orange County areas covered down here.... We'll get them!

I'm diggin' the expanding coverage! Thanks a ton, guys! I'll keep you posted re developments and hopefully one of us will spot something soon. As a "IH8MUD Rookie" poster, I think I'm limited to 10 posts (though I don't know if that's per day or over some longer timeframe) so I'm likely nearing my limit. So...if I don't post an immediate reply know that it's because I can't...not because I don't appreciate the continued input and support! Means a lot. I can't wait to hear/tell the story when one of us catches these guys! Have a good weekend, all, and thanks, again, for all the eyes and ears.

Cruisers are easy to spot. If they decide to come up here go 4 wheeling in my area I may see them.
