Whipsaw over the weekend if anyone's interested. Thread here Events/Trails - Whipsaw July 31st to Aug 2nd 2021 - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/whipsaw-july-31st-to-aug-2nd-2021.1258689/
4 tires, excellent tread. Some fine random weather checking in sidewalls, one bead took a hit on a tire machine before I got them. I've seen much worse seal fine, just being up front.
Is a bigger chunk than it appears, but along the bead on the inside rather than across luckily...
...is the title of a film shot in the '60's(?) in Australia about driving an antique Rover across the 'top end' of the country by a guy named Malcom Douglas. Adventures ensued. Theres a bunch of Abbo cultural stuff in there, may not be suitable for all audiences.
But more to the point of our...

Should do this again, or at least see if it still exists. The old pics are a good reminder of whats in store. Also posted about this on the Oil Country forum after a run last weekend.
Thinking July or August, I'm busy July 21-22 weekend and probably Aug. 3-5. Other than that, open to suggestions.
Last run was great, lets do 'er again.
This one is a little more intense. Ok, alot more. At least it was last time, three years ago.
Couple pics in this thread, September long trip of our first successful go,
more here, need to dig through and find the links but they're in there. 119 Trail...
I'll be heading out the Friday night to camp, either at the old helipad or possibly the other entrance closer to the rez. Looks like me and John so far, possibly Jacob in the Landycruise as well.
Depending on snow conditions and turnout I'd consider taking the frozen skag route for a change of...
Anyone interested in Camping/Wheeling September 22/23rd?
29/30th?
Winter is on it's way... Thinking about a thanksgiving run and bush turkey cookout as well. Post up!
Rain on the windshield as type this. It is the fourth day. Last nights camp has become todays shop. Aaron is wrenching diligently.
But first,
I've been back east visiting in Ontario for almost two months now, most of the second month has gone into helping a friend bring a dream into reality...
Let's go. Get organized Friday nIght, same camp. Expect big trenches and a bit of fancy winching perhaps. If time allows I'd also like to check out a possible loop trail accessible from a point near the end of main route, depending on circumstances of course. Who's in?
Who's got time when? Forks of the Ram run didn't disappear, easy weekend. 119 Trail just north of crowsnest merits revisiting. I'm ready to go, who else wants to wheel, where and when?
Thinking about hitting up forks of ram river trail near rocky, found what I believe to be alternate entrance/exit on previous trip. Time to check it out I think. About time we got out one way or another. Who wants to wheel?
Access is via North Fork road just outside Rocky Mountain House or from the trunk road south of Nordegg. The trail itself isnt a tough one, a few tight spots, a couple of old washed out gullies to crawl through. Or at least thats the way it was the last time I was on it. It doesn't see much...
The truck in question is a 1992 HDJ81, meaning right hand drive, 1hdt diesel, with the A442F. Other fun facts are FF rear diff with discs, and oem electric winch which works well. Truck is stock on 31's with exception of sliders and rear bumper, small coil spacers, egt and boost guages, and some...
This needs to happen. It simply hasnt been possible for me in years past despite the desire to do so.
So, let the planning begin. I want to follow the Canol road as far as reasonably feasible. I'd like to do it in the northern fall, to let the colours accent an already breathtaking natural...
Well, I've been running a CT20 on my 3L in a 1990 LN106 for a few years now. Night and day better than no forced induction, but I dont trust the one I have to survive much longer. The CT20 is a basic unit, as far as I can tell, a dated design. Looks rather restrictive to my eye, however, an...
