Thanks Matthew! And thank you for your service. I was trying to get to your site after finding/watching the project wrong way video again but the link wasn’t working. I’ll put an order in, absolutely no hurry as my tub is still in primer and has a very long way to go.

Hey everyone! It's been awhile since I've done an update. Things have been going slow (shop I use was pretty much taken over for the winter). I have the column brackets made (no more strap holding it up :). And it's just about ready for paint, just have to clean the body filler out of the rear...
Cut the first hole in the frame for the saginaw converstion yesterday. Got the second one cut today and sleeved it. Now I need to drill a hole to access the lower gear box mounting bolt, then I can weld the bracket on. Also need to clean up the hole on the inside of the cross memeber. Starting a...
Took the little ladies camera today. Front frame rails are plated. Getting ready to cut and sleeve the front crossmember. Also have my mock up steering column close to being mounted.
No major updates, just finishing up some small body work. Going to try to get it painted before snow hits. Will post more progress pics when or if I find my camera (three year old niece got ahold of it and it hasn't been seen since).
Well I haven't been able to get very much done on the FJ the last couple of weeks. I did get the frame horns boxed in though (I'll post a pic later). Here's my new welding table I've been working on. Got a really good deal on the top sheets of steel and the base for free. As you can see this is...
I did a maf S/R on my 71 a few years ago, after I did that I was actually able to keep the thing in my lane. Moved to the desert shortly after and haven't had a chance to take it off road.
I'll have to look again, but I think the to tie ins end right at that opening and the rivits had been cut out and the holes are welded up. I'll take a pic of the inside to post.
Worked on the tranny hump for a little bit this evening. Made a rough draft template. Seems like it should work out. Going to have to put some thought into the heater though. Any thoughts?
srgould41: I had the rear bumper welded to that crossmember before. I've been thinking about a different way to reattach it and maintain strength for both. Any ideas?
subzali: I haven't taken any pics yet of the inside of the corners since I finished them. The plate that I put inside the...
Hey everyone, its been a short very busy summer and sadly I haven't made near as much progress as I would like to have. Anyway, here are some pics of what I have gotten done lately. Body work on the rear is done as far as the sheet metal on the corners and the rear sill channel. Got the doors...
