Spotted him too in France:
He wasn't the only one with a pop-up roof:
And some more on a German meeting:
Look at the top;):
This one is from a company that builds them:
I am also thinking about building a front hinged poptop, but i am still trying to...
Thanks,
The structure is very stable, a little bit overkill for just two people sleeping on it, but now i am still able to transport something when i am not camping
Hi Wootan,
Here are some pics of my interrior:
I have plenty of storage room because of the boxes that can be placed under the shelves. And some bigger equipment can be mounted on the sides. Also nice is that i can take out the complete framework.
The disadvantage is that there...
Hi Wootan,
Do you allready have an idea about the new interior?
I am also busy with a new interior, but its difficult becauso of the low roof height and i can't find a lot of examples.
Greetings
Looks like it is not elevated a lot, your cable comes out on top of the winch, mine at the botom. Maybe if i also do that i can mount my fairlead higher and i don't need to elevate the winch plate.
Hi all,
I bought a new bumper and i want to put some spacers between my winch plate and frame, so that my fairlead is at the right height. Will this be strong enough, or will this stress my frame to much?
It has been lifted now for 4cm.
I went to the Bush Taxi Treffen 2009:
I hoped to see you there Soenke.
Next very big meeting is in Stasbourg, France in June. They expect more than 500 4-series.:bounce:
Hey Soenke, so many people are very interested in your ride, ever thought about building some more and sell it? I don't think that I could afford one, but lots of other people might. Something like Icon does, keep the legend alive!
Roofconsole
This is my roofconsole that i've been building last week.
The switches are for my 24v->12V converter and the other switcher are not wired yet (for future purposes).
