    where is good place to buy a heavy duty piano hinge for trailer lid?

    I also went with the gate hinge idea. Bought mine at Lowe's. I was worried about junk getting into the piano type hinges. As mentioned it is really easy to unbolt and take off if needed.

    Lunette and Pintle questions

    I have a regular military style pintle hitch and a plate like the one you posted above. I like the plate because I can just take the pintle off and adjust it up or down whenever I am using another tow vehicle to keep the trailer level. I have never had a problem with the hitch binding off...
