For the sub, Crutchfield recommended going with 2 polk 5" speakers. They said the tweeter wouldn't work but the speakers would act as a decent sub. But, I have a 1998 and the sub maybe different then a 2001.
I just picked up a used RTT and would like advice on whether or not the stock rack is sturdy enough to hold up the tent and 2 adults. The rails look stout, but I hate to have them fail. What cheap alternatives to the stock racks are there?
My speakers and subs must be blown. The rattle and fade when any base is pushed through them. Are there good aftermarket replacements? If so, any recomendations?
I got 13.5 MPG on a trip from Denver to Iowa running 75-80 mph on the highway. (i ran corn gas on the plains because it was cheap. It dropped my MPG to 12 mpg..)
I might just take it to the local hitch place right down the road. Get them to throw it on for $50. Anyone know of Lampert hitch is any good in NW Denver?
Thanks. When I got under the truck today, I was a bit confused on how to mount it. All the original bolts and retrieval hooks were still in place. Do I need to remove these, then bolt in the hitch? I tried to remove the bolts, but the are torqued down too tight for me to loosen. I might have to...
I found a used hitch from a '99. I doubt it's stock, but I'm thinking it will still work with my 1998 LC. Any ideas? Can I use all the old hardware? (Bolts, washers etc) They don't look worn, just a bit rusty. Nothing that a wire brush and WD40 can't knock out.
Last time I got a part at stevison, they charged me $75 for two rubber strips to seal out the wind noise on my front windshield... I take my car there for service, but the parts are super expensive.
I picked up a used tow hitch for my '98 LC w/o the bolts, hardware, etc. What parts do I need before I can install it? Where can I pick up the bolts to at least attach the hitch?
