Hi,
I have a 2004 5 speed auto, right hand drive, UK spec HDJ100. It has developed an intermittent fault on the red brake warning light, the one that comes on for low brake fluid or parking brake on. The warning light glows for no apparent reason. The brightness of the light varies each time...
Pleiades sell replacement globes. They are not genuine Toyota, they are Citroen with the pressure modified to suit the 100. They come with a thread adapter fitted. They are a direct screw in replacement.
I have exactly the same issue. One mirror does not respond to the up \ down button but the other one does. The mirror that does not respond to the button does however move down when selecting reverse and back up again when coming out of reverse. To my mind, the fact the up \ down buttons work...
Thanks for the diagram. I'll go exploring.
If I set the switch to passenger side then the passenger mirror moves in all directions, if I move it to drivers side then the drivers mirror moves side to side but not up down. To my mind that means the passenger \ driver selection switch is...
Because the passenger mirror works in all directions I had eliminated the switch from my list of possibles. I was all set to blame a drivers mirror motor until I discovered it works when selecting reverse.

The passenger side mirror adjusts fine in all directions, this tells me the control switch works. The drivers side adjusts in \ out fine but does not move in the up \...
Hi VVazquez,
Try giving All American Imports (not be fooled by the name - they are Cruiser specialists) in Holland a call. Their details are on their website http://www.all-american.nl/ . The site has been under construction for years and is not good, just phone them.
It helps that most of the 80s here are diesel. Mine is running 36" tires and a 2" lift and gets about 24 MPG on a 70 - 80 MPH highway run. As you correctly say our journey distances are much shorter.
:flipoff2: Welcome from the UK.
I was down there in January. Tunisia is easy to get into, a ferry crossing and some minor (by African standards) paperwork. Libya is a lot more difficult, loads of paperwork and we had a Police Officer with us 24\7. Not really sure what he was there for...
There are some pictures of a white Oz spec cruiser here.

It is flareless but does have small black arch extensions to cover tires.
I have just come back from a 4,500 mile round trip to the Sahara. The sand had no apparent adverse effect on the Land Cruiser. Got everywhere in the interior though.
