1972 Toyota Land Cruiser
4' Black Diamond Lift Kit (old and rather stiff now, but it does not sag)
brand new OEM Clutch
Tiger Top
33" TRXUS MT, less than 2000 miles on them on crappy 15" rims
Besides that, quite stock.
For those of you who know me, you know you have not seen me in awhile. I am busy with home and work and keeping up with all things Land Cruiser is getting relegated to the "later" category. But if I am going to stay with the Cruiser, I WILL make the time.
But I cannot let go of the facination...
Cruiser is at Tedd's, emergency brake (finally) is being looked at.
New Clutch
Main Rear seal
Emergency Brake
Gas leak
Rear T/C seal.
I am not sure I can make it this year. :crybaby:
I tore into the e-brake today. ALl components were in good working order, but still it does not work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Adjusted the tunbuckle and started to rub, but no positive stoping of the rear wheels. What else can I do here?
If these are the usual Class VI roads, I think I have gone all over them and can say I remember them quite well. I might be able to be there Thrusday afternoon, but don't count on it.
Thanks Jim, but the e-brake is new, but does not adjust. I need to get in there and see what is happening before I determine if I need parts or what.
I am sending it anyway, I am not missing the BBQ and I want my t-shirt... not like that other year.
I am the Senior Quality Assurance Engineer for a big 10 biopharmaceutical company in central MA. If I don't say equipment and processes are good to go, we do not manufacture any medicine.
I'll tie my spare in the back of the 40 and hope that I can fix the emergency brake (doesn't adjust) before it is too late!!!! But it is still a good idea to call the camp and see what is happening.
