To many options to choose from, I can't make my mind up on witch engine to run in my 87 4 runner. I have a GM 2002 4.3 with mild RV cam 4 L60E np203 to splitcase or a GM 2005 6.0 [LQ9] 4L65E np203 to splitcase. The good with the 4.3 is less broke parts I think, just not sure on power with 411 gears and 36" tires in high range. I know I don't have to worry about power with the 6.0 in any case.lol but broke parts YES.
please respond.

thanks

I think the 4.3 should be sufficient. But that depends on what kind of driving/wheeling you do. If you want to do 80 down the interstate, maybe lean towards the 6.0.

My older S10 had the TBI 4.3 which was less power than your MPI engine and I ended up with a speeding ticket at 160km/h through mountains.

Driven many 6 liters and I don't feel like that truck and frame are enough to put that engine in...

If you're running Toyota axles, I would stick with the 4.3.
