It poured from 4am until about 9am. For the first time in 4 days there was no visible fires on the Mountian last night. Hopefully the fires are knocked down enough that the fire crews can get them under control.
I ran into some USFS workers yesterday who were stopped and spoke to them and they said they had been flown in from Idaho to help stop the fires.

It's so crazy how different the weather can be on either side of the ridge. Especially in the winter.
That last rain amounted to ~1-1/4" here in western Loudoun.

Lots of airborne ash up here. AQI still green, but my respiratory wouldn't know it.
