More to come when it's not so dark!

Cool, didn't realise I already followed you on Instagram! Looks like you're getting done good use out of the 61!
Who did your 12ht tuning, and what did he do? Stock turbo?

Cheers, Pål @ptscustom on Insta.

Just followed you! Stocked. Most of my stuff has been done at a local shop called ATEB. John and Phillip have been mentors to me.

Stock turbo yes. Pretty much done all I'll I have wanted to do with my mostly stock engine (besides exhaust and pump adjustment).

I use my truck for work and when it comes time for a trailer I'll do an intercooler. If I have spare change a new turbo to but that's speculative.

Went with ko2 34x10.5/17s. Pick them up tomorrow. Still not sure if this was the best decision. Glad Kaltire had a 30 day return no questions asked.

As its a dd and my work truck for this business. Haha. They seemed the best fit. Pics to come. Also will update locker install soon.

Looks good, where did you find that black goo you were mucking about in? Few bucks at the car wash after that!
When I see your truck I have to think that I need to paint and put my flares back on. I talked to John last time at ATEB,
like your truck they look better painted same colour as the truck.
I'm a Toyo fan, just got back from Inuvik/Dempster/N Canol trip and they were perfect. Superb tires, not sure of price
difference with the BFG's, but I run 285/75R17's with the same rims. 4" BS. After 45000 k on them still at least 1/2
tread left.

Oh that black goo!

Couple guys went out. My hj61 and a hdj81 decided to make way to cabin lake.

Really easy to get into. What a beautiful place!

That night we decided to veto our original plans of attempting a journey into Boston bar from our current location (which we found no forum evidence of, but had vocal Intel that it was possible years ago). Which will still be on the bucket list to do.

From cabin lake we made our way to do whipsaw. As one of the clan had never done the route his fascination and excitement was convincing.

So we hit the dirt road. To kingsvale.

This is where our route had some difficulty. Just before kingsvale and Hwy 5 in site.

that pics just before the 80 went down into the gulch and pulled the draw dropping ability that it had to pull through the tight steep ditch. No pictures or vid I'm sorry.

So the 60 and I backed up and went around to the mud hole that we originally saw and decided against.

Brookmere Rd lead us to take a right on coalmont Rd. Which takes you
Into tulameen. So much more interesting in the winter...

Tulameen into coalmont to Blackburn Rd.

Nothing like an 80 to show one to flex.

And the memorial rock

All in all a great trip. Great fiends, no truck problems besides the flood inside the 80 but that an easy one haha

Those fender flares are like cancer. I'm gonna pull them soon. There's a lot of build up and even with diligent cleaning a build up happens. I will paint underneath and then put them back on at this point. However the tires seem to fit nicely in the wells and are super skinny. So maybe a forever removal will make the cruiser look a little less fat.

Your tires are 285/75R17 = 33.8X11.22R17 are probably .8 taller and .7 wider then what I currently have (34x10.5/17) bfg tend to be smaller than listed.

How do they fit and run with your lift?

They fit great, OME Heavies. Soon to have the dx2 add a leaf from OME. Just need the extra lifting ability for full on expedition, with the 4 extra diesel cans, and all the usual required stuff. I bought a used Maggiolina Extreme RTT.
Not too keen on the ladder part but got used to it.

Today I purchase a 2006 2500 hd Sierra for work. It's not final but as auctions go I'm pretty committed in giving the cruiser a new life.

It will be parked for pleasure only now. All work will be for enjoying my out most excitement. Now where to store the cruiser and get that rig in great shape. Cause Toyota didn't really get sheet metal in the 80's.

Got some rude rust happening on the driver side pillar in the seam.

Back at the electrical on this truck. Had some issues with the glow screen system.

Batteries were run flat, lower than 2v.

Purchase new bats and had the problem diagnosed by ATEB.

Glow screen system went on the fritz. Looks like the relay for the glow screen went and as a result the screen stayed on for way to long and was pulling juice.

Screen is burnt up about half way. Should be fine once I get a new relay in there. Once the relays in the computer will be checked to see the full extent of the damage.

If the comp is toast then I'll have to wire up a button to trigger the glow screen manually. Ah the joys of a 26 year old electrical system.
