We got solar! 3x 100W Zamp OBSIDIAN panels. About 10lbs each. I used Marine sealant and adhesive to glue the feet to the top rather than drill holes. I drilled on hole to run the lead down into the cab to the National Luna Smart Charger.

Bryce, this is the system I got for the troopy. I think it is a fantastic deal because includes most of the stuff you will need.

The tank along weighs just about 30lbs. The mount probably weighs 20ish lbs. With the tank full its around 150lbs added to the truck.

I have purchase some sheep insulation for the quarter panel but that's for in a while until I finish up the real estate cabinet and for now it's a puzzel the 5KW it also a challenge to mount too... Honestly I am still thinking about the fuel line...

What about heat insulation? You probably need it more than me. 😀 Or I guess the 5 KW Espar will keep the place toasty. We have one in a Sprinter van and in 12 min brought it from 18F to 52F.

I was thinking of also rolling sound insulation paint.
