The 6.7 block is just .5" taller. I've installed a 6.7 commonrail in an 80. 2nd gen manifold swapped it and with a billet valve cover the fit was great. 5.9 cr is fantastic. I just see an overabundance of 6.7's on the market compared to 5.9...

The late model 5.9 commonrail is arguably the best motor Cummins has made…plus the block being the same size as the rest of the 5.9’s helps with fitment and packaging into an 80 series engine bay.

On the flats even at 75mph turbo is working maybe 50%. 7-8 psi. Goes to 11-12 only on the climbs. I got 24-25 mpg going 55 mph.

We are doing pretty good! Last week when driving back from Austin to SLC I punched in OLC4x4 to see if it was anywhere near my route…unfortunately it would have added another 7 hours of driving. Maybe down that way next month.
