My 60 had one the same as the bottom one when I got it.
Just a clock on one side . I changed mine over to an inclinometer .
In my last 60 I had a uhf radio there.
I'd check out the cap and spring that holds the shifter in the transmission ,it may have come out some how.
Also the 2 pins that locate and pivot the shifter and the shifter seat and cup .
The pins that locate the shifter work loose in the aluminium housing with lots of use and sometimes fall out.
All you gotta do is swap the wiper switches over and then unplug the jumper wire where the relay goes
Then plug the relay in ,and the earth wire into the relay.
Thanks for the ideas guys, I'll try them all out.
There's one particular truck there I like to get parts off cos it's in good nick, so hopefully the trans is still in it.
I tried to buy the whole vehicle on a previous trip cos it was too nice to wreck but they wouldn't sell it they reckoned it...
Hi there
I'm looking at buying a used 5 speed box from a wrecking yard the kind where you remove the parts yourself , the parts are cheap but in unknown condition. So what I would like to know is what should I look for once I get the transmission out and on the ground?
Many thanks in advance
My 2h was doing a similar thing . It was blowing lots of blue smoke on start up and occasionally whilst driving , after thinking about what it could be I done the stem seals and it cured it . Done the seals with the head on was pretty straight forward . I got most info I needed off mud and Google
thanks for your help and for the wiring diagrams they are much better than the ones i have i am going to try sort this out on the weekend lucky its not cold here
thanks again
