First thing i did was start cutting rust out and stripping it down the floor was pretty bad so i cut that out

Ive welded in plates and bogged over them and primed most of it also welded in a new floor, a mate is a sheet metal worker so he helped out with fabricating the new floor, also dropped the diffs out

I got some 60 series diffs under there now which will extend the width and also gives me front discs and rear LSD . im in the process now of getting all the new bits together so i can start welding spring hangers back on

thanks to dieselcruiserhead as his post was really helpfull. I hope ive done it correctly

Nice work mate! I don't know if I could drive anything from the right side hee hee!

Yeah haha id be the same if i was in the US i guess, id find it worst changing gears with a different hand i think ;)

So can anyone who has done this conversion tell me do you use the 60 series relay rod or 40?
I assume its the 60s but when i got the diff it didnt have a complete relay rod its missing the bit that threads in the end

just wanted to make sure if i get one im getting the right thing cheers :)

Hi All:

A few days and you'd have it figured out...

It does get a little confusing when you're driving a truck with both drives and you're switching back and forth every ten minutes. :D

Your build is coming along nicely.

So can anyone who has done this convertion with 60 series diffs into a 40 series tell me what happens with the relay rod?

At the moment i just have standard steering so the 60 series relay rod dosnt fit..... and the 40 series relay rod dosent fit the 60 series diff :bang:
