Availability: Truck is in Atlanta. I am willing to drive a few hours to meet. I also travel to NC a god bit,
and I am willing to meet someone up there. I will not ship this truck.
About the Rig:
This is a very solid one for sure. It has no rust on the frame or the body.
The truck drives well and has very low mileage (183K). This rig has never been offroad, as the PO's usage of it was for around town.
4WD works and I bet has never been engaged before I tried it.
AC blows really cold and the heater is working great. All lights work both inside and out.
Exterior / Interior Condition:
Again has NO rust. I inspected the hell out of this thing before I got it. Looking everywhere, under the carpet in the rear and the wheel wells (common places for it to show up on these models). The body has a small dents on the roof and the Hood and Passenger Doors are from another truck. There is a dent on the front right Quarter panel, can be seen in the pic from the link above. I have panels to replace any/all dented panels.
The interior is in good shape as well. The Dash isn't faded or cracked, shines up very nice. The door panels are in great shape. Overall for it's age, it is comfortable and clean. I changed out the Driver's seat with a Passenger seat from another truck, as the one I that came with it was beat to hell. I put some seat covers on it, that look almost factory.
The Motor and engine bay are cleaner than any vehicle I have owned. Seriously.
Known Issues:
Issues I haven't dealt with as of yet are, the High Beams won't engage when the lever is pulled (this is due to some contacts needing to be cleaned in the steering column. The other issue is with the Passenger Rear Door. When I bought the truck it had two replacement doors on the Passenger side. The Rear Passenger Door doesn't have the electrical harness hooked up, thus the window nor door lock buttons work for that specific door.
WHY YOU SHOULD YOU BUY THIS TRUCK:
Well, here is the long story....short. I have some friends that own a LC shop down here in Atlanta (ACCTOYOTA.COM) check them out. They have been helping build out a sick 40, but that is besides the point. I did some work for them to barter for parts. So here is what comes with the Truck, and all the parts are in amazing shape, if not brand new looking.
Extra Parts that come with the Truck:
- Complete Front Right Quarter Panel - Grey Metallic (Excellent condition).
- Complete Front Left Quarter Panel - Grey Metallic (Excellent condition).
- Complete Tailgate - Grey Metallic (Excellent condition).
- Complete Rear Hatch w/ Glass - Grey Metallic (Excellent condition).
- Complete Driver side Door - Grey Metallic (Excellent condition).
- Complete Passenger Rear Door - Blue (Great condition).
- Complete set of Interior Door Panels w/ Switches and Handles. (Great condition).
- Extra Dashboard - Grey (Excellent condition, if not new looking).
- Center Console - Grey (Excellent condition, not a scratch on it).
- Complete Gear Shifter. (great Shape).
- Extra set of Window Motors and Regulators for all the doors.
- Original Tool Kit
- Gauge Cluster (Speedo, Tach, Clock and Trim).
- All Complete Seat Belts
- Misc Interior Parts (extra: Door Handle Bezels, Shift Knobs, etc.).
- CD Player (Alpine).
*There are more parts that come with it, but this is the bulk of it.
This rig could be great for either a restoration or a trail truck. I would like to sell the truck with all the extra parts for 5,500 OBO or trade for an 80 series.
This is really a great deal...you almost get another truck in parts!
Should you want a professional opinion, call up (ACCTOYOTA.com) and talk to Mike. He is one of the co-owners there, and works on all my rides.
Mike has looked it over and can verify it's condition.
I have a 40 that is too nice to wheel at this time, so it someone has a semi-built 80, that would be perfect for me.
