Well here goes, I would like to see $3000 out of it since it has the OME, but dont be afraid to make an offer, I have been brutally honest, probably a little picky and hard on the decription of the vehicle, but would rather someone come away super happy than a little pistoff. This could be parted out, or you might want a trail truck and put a 4-5speed in it, the OME makes a nice ride. This has been in Georgia all its life so there is no rust other than very light surface rust that you find on a 20 year old vehicle, you know where there might be a paint nick or the like. I have probably put less than 4k miles on this cruiser in the last 4 years. This is for sale locally.
THE GOOD
the water pump was changed 2 years ago, less than 3k miles, thermostat and gaskets replaced then too, intake from filter hose replaced at that time too
Doors in good shape, drivers needs something as it is a little hard to open, meaning the handle has to be pulled up kinda high to get the latch to release
rebuilt alternator less than 5k miles on it,
the head plug has been fixed and an external aux oil pressure gauge has been installed, I am not sure but hte PO may have rebuilt the motor at one time, I can do a pressure test if someone is interested
new starter (4 years old)
replaced the rear diff and changed fluid of course last year with one from a front
gas tank went thru recall
rear doors good
tailgate and lift gate good, small imperfections, nothing major
new radiator and new hoses hoses and belts (last year)
Rams horn headers from TPI
I think I have 2 or 3 books for the fj62, one is a toyota FSM
comes with new exhaust/intake gasket still in the package from toyota
3fe runs good, has slight skip at idle, I think it is either the injectors need cleaning or the throttle positioning sensor, I replaced the fuel pulse dampener, and the pressure regulator
I Shortened the transmission shifter like 1-2 inches, so my knee did not keep hitting the shift button
it has an external transmission cooler installed, with a T block installed so you can mount an extra transmission temperature sensor
Aftermarket additional fuse block and power strip (brass plate with electrical connection points)
800w inverter installed under front seat
OME 2.5" lift never wheeled, just driven on the farm, with ome greasable pins, bushings, shackles and shocks
has 2 inch trailer hitch and correct wiring on separate fuse block
2 extra 12 ga wires run to the back on a separate fuse block, and I wired the cig lighter to be on all the time off the fuse block
BAD
wheels are slightly impregnated surface rusty, as I wire wheeled without a ss wire wheel and embedded tiny pieces of steel that rusted, the chrome is not flaky or truly rusty, but look dingy, I d bet you could use a ss wire wheel or synthetic pad and make them look nice, spare is the same, riding on older bfg 31x19.5 one is great others are...eh
NEW BFG TIRES ON ORDER,,,,,<<<<< POLISHED THE WHEELS
hood has a few small dents not perfect but no rust, they could be pushed out, there are some misc dents in the truck,
Windshield has a crack and a few rock ding
drivers seat has tears in it and the foam is rough, the passenger is good GOT IT PROFESSIONALLY RECOVERED
rear seat is just a little dirty as I kept it folded down most of the 8 years I have owned this vehicle CLEANED IT
305k on speedo, had the head reworked (and the plug was already in it when I bought it at 250k) at 250k, new gasket,
both bumpers are bent, and both rear light covers are broken, but still work STRAIGHTENED TO BEST OF MY ABILITY NO CAPS
dash has crack and place where gps was installed and got ripped off of dash
consol good, a cover in the rear where the rear heater controls are is broken PART ON ORDER
dent in front right fender, and under the passenger front door, I hit and ran over bambi's brother
front grill is flaky like all the rest, but in good shape
forerunner brakes with new pads, 1k miles ago I put new brakes on the rear all new parts from toyota, new soft lines on the front,
exhaust from y back is shot GOT AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE IT REPLACED MONDAY
ac not working, but has new clutch, it worked one day then not the next, I dont drive this except on the farm so I did not worry about it WORKING BLOWING COLD AND CLEANED CONDENSOR
dbl black limo tint, on the windows
I would replace the rear lift gate struts if I were keeping it, and I noticed one connector to the rear defrost has come off, WILL REPLACE IF SOLD IN THE COLD WEATHER
slight oil leak, no more than a few drops a day, could be from the lifter side cover or the oil cooler, might be a rear main seal, ORDERED THE OIL PAN GASKET AND THE REAR MAIN SEAL, WILL FIX THIS BEFORE SALE
no power antenna, has generic antenna
Frame is great
I would probably change the tie rod ends if I were keeping it., nothing really wrong with it, but I have not changed them since I bought it ON ORDER WILL HAVE THEM CHANGED WHEN THE TIRES ARE INSTALLED AND AN ALIGHNMENT IS DONE
There is no known electrical issues other than: rear and passenger windows are slow, probably need to clean the track, rear passenger lock does not move one way, probably dirty, TAKING THEM APART THIS WEEK TO CLEAN AND MAKE THEM WORK LIKE NEW
