Do you really work on cars? A Chevelle is a Malibu.

I do not work on cars. I take peoples money so they dont have to work on cars.
I'm talking about the 2002 s***e head.

Oh, I had forgotten about that one on purpose. Thanks for reminding me :(

Well my turn:
86 Buick Regal- great car, until a woman hit me head on & said she never saw it.. then came:
91 Honda Accord- was cool, would do 120 and shut down, went through brake pads like bubble gum.... was driving it like it was stolen/ traded for:
91 Toyota 4runner- was my first 4wd/ 4cyc 5 speed- gave it hell, and still sold it for enough to buy my first cruiser....
86 FJ 60- greatest cruiser ever, saw TONS of our great america in it & wheeled most of it, then in the divorce Ashley now has it:crybaby:

During this I have driven company car so after loosing my job/company car went away:mad:
So I had to purchase a daily driver:

86 4runner form CO- flew to CO, jump in it & drove back to TN....just another road trip in the books, but it was showing rust in the quarters so I sold it....
85 4runner- current daily driver, picked it up from GA- with 349K on the OD its getting a fresh long block this week.
07 Dodge Dually- it the tow rig.... still got it:grinpimp:

Along this journey my father purchased a FJ40- during my 1.5 of unemployment we work on this daily..... was the best therapy & thing I could have done. Those days I wouldnt give up for anything.

"during my 1.5 of unemployment we work on this daily..... was the best therapy & thing I could have done. Those days I wouldnt give up for anything. "

Amen,
....before the bridge gig, I was out of work for 6 months and I agree, working daily on my cruiser was the best theraphy for me.

Alma says that I need to sell my 40 but It's really hard to part away from it, even if it does not run.

...like Lenny said about his Sammy. "it's family"....same thing for me the 40 "is family" I got it before Jonah was born.:grinpimp:

1985 Nissan 720 pick up DooDoo Brown,2wd. Started off as mud truck, quickly figured out that it is not going to work. Repainted a pearl white and lowered.

1993 gray Nissan 4wd ext cab: truck went through HELL! and made it home alost every time
1996 red GMC Silverado single cab 2wd, droped, suped up a bit. Kinda fast

Well played

First car, an '86 Pontiac 6000 LE, handed down from mommanem. I put the knife in it, and Bill turned it sideways when he inherited it.

2nd car, a 1978 Thunderbird with the badass Cragar wheels that everybody used to run. That was back when the brothas drove the box Caprices. I'd pull up next to one, and they were too scairt to look my way.

3rd, 1991 Nissan 240. Fun little car. My dumbass later traded it for a lemon Isuzu trooper that had way too many problems.

1980-something Trooper. Everything was wrong with it.

1995 Civic. No style, but cost nothing to operate. Just what I needed at the time.

1998 4 cyl (4x4) Tacoma. Nice truck, but way too cramped with the single cab. Needed more room (and no car payment), so I bought my dad's 60.

1985 FJ60 (his)
1997 LX459 (hers)

Motorcycles...
1986 Honda 450 Rebel
1992 Yamaha Seca II
1994 Ducati 900
1982 Yamaha 750
Buell something or another.

Here's a pic of the T'Bird, with a low rider magazine babe photochopped into it with my wife's face 'chopped onto the babe, and my awesome skate-or-die hairdo...

Before Cruisers........

I got my first Cruiser in 1997 and have pretty nicely documented all the Cruisers that have come and gone over the past 14 years on Mud and on my website.

Greg's 1985 Xtra Cab really dug up the old memories I have of my old Xtra Cab so I scanned a couple of pictures in today.

My first vehicle was a 1984 Toyota 4x4 Xtra Cab. I pretty much ruined it for 3 years in the pearl river swamp.

It had open diffs and a 6" suspension lift. Pictured is the last set of tires it had....some 34" Swampers. At one point it had "Q" buckshots.

It was a mud machine and held up like a champ. It was RAGGED when I sold it for college with only 80,000 miles on it but all I ever did was replace brakes and a clutch.

that truck looks so familiar
