I have all of the original stuff, such as the condenser, compressor, mounts, lines and dryer. I was wondering if I should replace the dryer and condenser, Just don't know what to get. I read through your A/C thread and its all Greek to me.

Get a new condenser and dryer. The new condensers are more efficient.

^^^^ This is what I hear. If you are running the R-134a vs. the old R-12, you will benefit from the new design.
My plan was to ask the MUD username Cool Stream (or something similar) what condenser to buy, but I think he is no longer working at Cool Stream (the company). Not sure what I will do now.

But I have to get through the realities of mounting a 3FE compressor in the 55 engine bay, so still some obstacles to overcome.

Took everything to my Toyota?land Cruiser mechanic today. He basically told me that if I am going to allow him to install this, then he wants to do it right. He wants all new copper lines made, new condenser, dryer and compressor to run R-134a. We discovered the compressor I bought from a LC vendor is locked up. Would have been nice to know.
After that, I spoke with Trollhole and he highly recommended that I call Nostalgic AC form one of his vendor threads. He said their parts are better and cheaper than anywhere and simply tell them that I have the factory evaporator and I need them to help retrofit everything else to the evaporator.
We will see.

x2 on Nostalgic Air. They have kits or individual parts. I purchased evaporator (under dash-for that old school add on air look), hoses, binary switch, and condenser. They were great to deal with, even when I ordered the wrong size condenser unit. Not that complicated to install, just study up on AC and it can be done. HF vacuum pump and local auto parts store for refrigerant.
