Y'all wanna do a pot luck on Saturday night? I'm thinking of cooking MRE's. Otherwise, it's Spam or peanut butter sandwiches.

Also, does the huntin' event have anything to do with a greased llama?

Hell, the whole event is Pot Luck in a way sir. :D

We'll have plenty of grills sittin' 'round ...

Whoever can throw whatever on 'em whenever. :grinpimp:

We ain't gonna be huntin' none of my critters sir.

Thanks for volunteerin' to monitor the burn ban/fireworks situation. :grinpimp:

:flamingo:

As of June 15th, Fannin County is not under a burn ban. I figure if Mr. Stone is responsible for monitorin' the situation, there ain't no problem with another damn Aggie steppin' up to help out. :flipoff2:

Edit: it appears that fireworks restrictions are a separate matter, but as of now Fannin county is free from those as well. I'll keep an eye on it. ;)

Excellant!
Consider yourself in charge.

No problem, sir. You just stay hard at work protecting the environment. ;)

Lookin' forward to seeing you again, by the way.

Thanks Travis!

Being a fine example of competent training from the largest university between Snook and North Zulch, I know you appreciate my vigilant efforts to see radioactive hazardous waste buried as safely as possible in SE New Mexico.

I'll be partying in the desert all next week. The other team members have already informed me to bring some nice clothes cause we're going to visit the biggest attraction in Eddy County...

...the new Super WalMart.

I laughed reading that, a lot. Thanks for the entertainment. I'll have to remember that line about being the largest university between Snook and North Zulch! :D

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but...

As of June 18, Fannin County is on the list of counties under an "Aerial Fireworks Restriction".

I'll keep checking on it - it looks like they update the list at least every few days, so if it rains closer to the event, we may be in the clear. And remember folks, don't kill the messenger. ;)

That blows, we may have to do some sorta rain dance. Apparently aint nobody told all the folks peddlin the firecrackers around here yet, cause they're all gettin the stands geared up to open...........Josh

Here's the final numbers kids.

We got us 39 members.

24 done confirmed.

3 maybe's.

11 can't make it.

1 didn't respond.

Total of 61 folks confirmed from 8 different states gonna be there. :grinpimp:

Odds of winnin' the winch is goin' to be somewheres between 1 outta 24 and 1 outta 27 ... dependin' on the folks that said mite make it. :bounce: :bounce2:

Just curious, where did you find that restriction? The list I found says Fannin has no fireworks restriction. Also, state law says that in order to place a fireworks ban, the county has to have it in place by June 15th. If your list was up to date on the 16th then you should be in the clear.

Also, some counties that have fireworks bans are allowing "professional" fireworks shows to continue. We need to figure out what a professional show is. Gotta find those loopholes... :D
