How quick do you need them?

No hurry at all. I was just starting my search... any time in the next 6 month or so. My current shoes have plenty of tread, I just don't like them very much.

I have a set of 4 FJ60 wheels, in great shape.. currently sitting under my 45. I will be needing the tires that are on them moved to different rims and balanced. SO.. perhaps we can make a deal. I will need 5 tires mounted and balanced (hubcentric) and i'd trade the 4 wheels for that service.

Just to make sure I understand this... You are offering to trade four FJ60 wheels for the service of mounting and balancing 5 tires onto 5 wheels?

:clap::clap:

We have a deal! I'll be back in town next week, if you want to PM me your number, I can call when I get back in town to get something set up.

My # is in the front of the toyota trails and has been for about a decade. I'll be out of town till the 22nd.
THey're Hub Centric which is a bit of a challenge but if the place has the right equipment.
Give me time to shoot the wheels black.

No disrespect here... This is turning out to be a little more of a pain than I was looking for. I would love to just trade cash for wheels. Sorry to waste your time.

This is not a pain. Take them to olathe toyota and swap. DONE. They can balance hubcentric.

Initially it sounded like a good deal... then I thought it through. It's going to take me a better part of a day to shuttle wheels and tires from his place to Olathe Toyota (provided they will do it; the last few places I have taken tires to get mounted didn't want anything to do with it unless it was their tire, and forget about it if it was "used"... even if these are new tires, they are still on a set of wheels, a dealership is gonna consider them "used"), then I gotta run them back to his place. I can't imagine what a stealership charges for mounting and balancing these days, but I assume it is north of $30.00 per tire. Then, what happens if Olathe does a s***ty job and tornadoalleycruiser (Erik, is it?) isn't happy with the balance... then what? No thanks. (Never mind the scavenger hunt I will have to do just to find your phone number. I'm looking to get a TLCA membership, but its gonna be at least "2 to 7 weeks" before my first copy to arrives.) Don't get me wrong, I am not looking for free wheels, I am willing to pay reasonable money for wheels. I am not willing to spend a day, $150.00+, and then possibly be on someone's s*** list for a lousy balance job. I'm really not trying to be an arse here, I am just looking for a nice simple: I give you money, you give me wheels, 10 minute transaction. *zips up flame suit* So I refer back to my previous statement: No disrespect here... This is turning out to be more of a pain than I was looking for. Sorry to waste your time.

I totally understand. I state my # is in the trails to get people to join a car club and get help from me. I give a lot of free tech but do ask that people join the tlca. I'll holler when I have 4 loose wheels later in spring.

And. Just put a memo on your application that you wanted to get ahold of me. I know where the tlca home office is and know who gets the mail.

Might think about joining the TLCA (Toyota Land Cruiser Association) as well.. I think the home office is somwhat local to you.
