I think Evan Jenkins was the first to do the 2 windshield rubbers glued together. His pig is awesome and he had some really inventive ideas.

Ryan.

I've read something about using the front windshield rubber and cutting to fit then gluing back together, but not sure who did it. Those seals are under $80 each

Alright Guys.

I got it figured out and I was wrong on a few points.

The fj80 moldings does NOT work. The profile is close but it has some issues in fit and other misc small things.

The best option is one of the most random. I'll give you all a bit of a backstory here.

I work as a Glass Tech for a big glass company and ran across a molding on a 1979 Chevy truck solid glass, so no sliders, back glass gasket. It looked close so I got one to try and it was perfect. I ordered another at a whopping 25 bucks, three cuts and two hours later I had two new gaskets installed and looking great. Pics and writeup on how to do it to follow on forum.

Carmon

Mine also! I was going to fab in some FJ80 rear sliders, but not sure if its worth it. Especially if I could install the originals for under $65!

Hope?

I hope you have the solution to all of our needs. I know a bunch of us have been chasing the cargo window rubbers for a long time. Looking forward to your post and pics.

Thanks a whole bunch!!!!!!!  :bounce: :bounce2:

Thanks guys, and yes it looks and works great. Here is a pic of the gasket fully installed.

I am going to take the time tonight to post a writeup on how to do it so look forward to that also.

Notice in the pic that you have three cuts, one in the middle, between the two 90 degree bends that come pre-molded and the other two are the other angles .

The second pic looks a little weird but you get the idea.
