Chris, you are most magnanimous, generous and an all round decent chap.
I'll be there with my rotors, pads and calipers.
Passed by and waved today, but things looked pretty busy in the shop and I was on the fly. I picked up a new CB from the guy near the catfish place on 49. Nice tin shack in a parking lot that is.
I need to install my T-Case Saver, swap a couple of melted shackle bushings, and install my 1/4" rear wheel spacers. Might even swap bump stops if it looks easy enough.
TREs will have to wait.
Looks like I'm picking up a couple of Hell Creek lifts on Thursday. One is for Jeff Davis and the other is for the SCC Raffle.
If Jeff gets his other stuff shipped in time, we may be installing his lift.
Chris, you're good in my book no mater what aweful things Barry says about you! Thanks again.
How in the hell did you melt shackle bushings? Mine have been on my truck for 10 years and I have never melted one? Oh, I guess I'll be there to help out. I might even put my truck on the lift and look things over. I need to do the knuckles but I guess I can get one more run out of em.
When we insalled the current springs flipped it moved the rear axle back 4". The tailpipe had to be cut off so it didn't hit the tire on the way home. Unfortunately it was cut off about 6" from the top of the shackle pointing straight at it. I love the smell of burnt bushings in the morning.
I've been wheeling it like this for over a year and the bushings are starting to fall out in little pieces. I figure it will be easier to swap out bushings while the wheels and tires are off to install the spacers.
