Don't listen to him Barry!

Take it to the river every day and I bet you will still lead the Thursday caravan to the Crawl!!!!

Photographed at our little gathering spot a couple days ago by a Mississippi-Mud aquaintance. Probably won't keep me out for long.

COPPERHEAD!!!!!!!

That damn snake would really piss me off if it bit me.

Thanks for the shop for the day. It was nice wrenching again especially on a lift and with air tools. As soon as my computer illeterate self figures out how to download pictures from the camera to the computer I will post pictures of my 80.

The only issues I have are a lot of driveline vibration and noise. Gotta call JACKSON POWERTRAIN and get a quote for redoing my drive shafts with a c/v joint. If it is to high I'll just get new ones from slee.

Thanks again Chris.

anybody seen a Large yellow handled pry bar.
I checked with Barry and didn't find it where he had it last.
It had a yellow handle on it.

Thanks,

Thanks,

I was working on the rotor with it on the lift in the center (just to the right of where the big white 80 was getting bigger). I would have either left it there or set it over near the bench vice on the right. did you check in those places? I'll be glad to spring for a new one if it doesn't turn up.

i'm always losing something......

Couple of questions:

1-on the front axle, do you have caster bushings.....the OME (yellow) may not give enough caster......slee has some blue ones that give more, or you can do the caster plates-we used the plates.

2-we got vibes after the J-spring install.....we did the double cardon front shaft & so far so good......with that much lift you may need not only front & rear drive shafts but upper rear links to get the rear re-positioned pinion angle.

Clutchee, I just ordered an OME "low" lift for Del's 80 because,,well,, it's her truck and thats what she wanted. Anyway, it came with the caster correction bushings. Do you think I need them? It's only a 3/8" lift in the front (although it will probably raise the truck about 2".)
Thoughts?

I'm no clutchee, but may I suggest putting the lift on then checking the castor on an alignment machine before you decide?

The only reason you're no Clutchee is because you don't have a clutch.

When we initally put Ashley's Med OME lift on we did not put the bushings in....

That being said....we saw nothing negitive about drivability.

I would put the lift on....check the caster, if it needs the bushings--install them.
If not just have the truck fully lined up & let it roll.
